Zapporthütte SAC

The Zapporthütte, built in 1872 on the edge of the glacier, lies at 2,276 m above sea level. The hut is manned from the end of February to mid-May and from the end of June to mid-October. The rest of the time it is open (with cooking facilities). Please note that the path from Hinterrhein to the hut is a very demanding mountain hiking trail (duration approx. 3.5 hours).
