By car

Highway tolls
A flat rate of CHF 40 is charged for the vignette. The vignettes are valid from December 1 of the previous year until January 31 of the following year. An additional vignette must be purchased for trailers or caravans. Freeway vignettes are available at the Splügen Guest Information Office as well as at border crossings, post offices, service stations, etc. E-vignettes, which can be purchased online, have also been available since 2023.

Airplane
According to statistics, air travel is one of the safest means of transportation. Zurich Airport is one of the hubs of European air traffic. In addition to SWISS, it is served by numerous other airlines. It is optimally connected to the public transport network, which guarantees you a seamless onward journey to Graubünden.
Flixbus
Since November 2017, the Viamala vacation region with Splügen has been connected to the European long-distance bus network! Once a day there is a connection from Splügen to Milan and Munich (stops on the way: Dornbirn, Bregenz, Lindau).
This means that our vacation guests from the nearby metropolitan areas of Milan and Munich will in future be able to reach the Viamala vacation region without having to change trains.
Cab and passenger transportation
All our valley communities can be reached safely and around the clock by Rhaetian Railway, post bus, cab or group tour operator.
SBB online timetable
Plan your journey by public transport. The Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) will take you within Switzerland to Chur, from where you can take the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) to Thusis, where you can change to the PostBus and be driven to your chosen village.
