Untertagstein Castle

Tagstein Castle, which was rebuilt in its present form after a fire in 1899, probably dates back to the 12-13th century and goes back to the lords of Masein/Rialt.

The cultural property has changed hands many times and has always been a hub for the political and economic development of Masein. The castle is now privately owned and not open to the public.
