Postcard gallery Kabinetli Hinterrhein

A small but fine private exhibition of antique views of Hinterrhein and the surrounding area - mostly from the first half of the 20th century.

Elisabeth Hasler-Stoffel has been a passionate collector of corresponding postcards and lithographs for years and has now made this treasure accessible to anyone interested.

In the photos from those days, the "world of yesterday" comes to life anew - that of our village, the St. Bernard Pass, the Rheinwald, but also that of its neighboring valleys (Mesolcina, Valsertal, Valle San Giacomo), with which, as a result of the pass system and mutual economic and family ties (muleteers, horse mail), the neighborhood was lived - stronger than today.

The cellar and the "Ställi", where Elisabeth's great-grandfather Joseph Stoffel kept his small livestock, were cleared out and prepared for the exhibition. It opened with a vernissage on September 20, 2020.
