Hotel Restaurant Capricorns

Regionality is the common thread running through the food and drink menu.

In the kitchen, Schams saffron and mountain hay, herbs and flowers from the hotel's own garden, sea buckthorn from Trans, cow's milk cider from Mathon and eggs from the organic farm in Lohn are used to create harmonious dishes.

We source our cheese and dairy products from the three award-winning dairies in Andeer, Sufers and Splügen. The meat (beef and lamb) and sausage products come from the organic farms on the Schamserberg and Averstal and are processed in the Viamala Meztga. Special mention should be made of the geese reared by our employee on her organic farm in Hinterrhein, which supplies us with local geese in winter. In the summer, our employee grows vegetables for us and in the fall we buy alpine pigs from her. The Älpler Magronen, Pizzoccheri and flour come from organic mountain grain from the Gran Alpin cooperative. Our ice cream menu is stocked with the finest ice cream varieties from Glatsch Balnot in Surava.

When it comes to wine, the focus is on the Bündner Herrschaft region. The drinks menu also includes herbal teas from the Poschiavo region and a selection of beers from the Monstein brewery.

The Hotel Restaurant Capricorns "Swiss Lodge" in the historic building, located in the middle of the Beverin Nature Park, provides a relaxing break from everyday life. For hikers, bikers, snowshoers, ski tourers, sledgers and especially for families with children, the hotel is the ideal starting point for excursions into nature.
