Castle Trail Thusis - Paspels
The trail leads from Thusis along easy T1 paths past various castles. This reminds us of times gone by. How did people preserve food in the past? We pass the Rhine and poppy fields and enjoy a coffee at Casa Caminada in Fürstenau. Finally, we arrive in Paspels, where the bravest among us (weather permitting) can take a refreshing dip in Lake Canova. The bus takes us back.

Lilies of paradise in the Walser village of Obermutten
From Stafel we walk to Obermutten, through the village and to the viewpoint, where we can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding area over lunch. After refreshments, we set off in search of the lilies of paradise. With a bit of luck, we'll have caught the right season! Then it's off to the Walser Museum. We are inspired by the many different objects we have collected, such as lamps, tools and old furniture, and are transported back to earlier times. Of course, we also admire the old, preserved wooden church, before finishing off at the Post restaurant with a cozy coffee and cake.

Via Spluga meets the Walser Trail: from Thusis via the Viamala Gorge to Zillis
Along the Hinterrhein, with impressive views of the gorge, we follow in the footsteps of the Walser people and along the Via Spluga to the phenomenal Viamala Gorge. During a tour of the gorge and the exhibition of the former pass road, we are transported back in time.
The path leads through the forest, along the river and across meadows to Zillis, where the bus takes us back to Thusis and home with many beautiful impressions. (Shortcut possible: return journey from Viamala Gorge by bus) (possibility of arriving earlier the day before, adding the hike to Obermutten and a visit to the wooden church and the Walser Museum and the search for the lilies of paradise).

3 - Day hike in the footsteps of the Walser from Andeer via Avers to Juf
You can expect historical, varied day hikes in the impressive mountain world, along interesting flora and fauna in Graubünden. Luggage transport allows us to hike in a relaxed manner with a day pack!
We hike along the Hinterrhein and old pass roads, explore prehistoric signs, marvel at the Roflaschlucht gorge, visit the mining museum, take a detour to Italy to the Lago di Lei dam, spot playful marmots and reach the highest settlement in Juf, which is inhabited all year round.
In the meantime, we learn about the culture and way of life of the Walser people and it is important to me to bring you closer to the wonderful mountain world. I want you to experience and feel this as a small group and remember it for a long time to come.

Piz Vizan: Climbing Wergenstein's local mountain
Varied day hike. Past idyllic alpine huts, over the Raptgusabach stream (coming from Lai Grand), through Wildasyl and then without a path (sure-footedness required) to Wergenstein's local mountain, Piz Vizan 2471m above sea level. In good weather, we are rewarded here with a wonderful panorama. Both in the direction of Piz Beverin, as well as the Splügen Pass and much more. With a bit of luck, we may see game or even a noble ibis. We return via the same route over the Alp Nera and leisurely back to the collection car.
