The history of Valendas is closely linked to the huge wooden fountain that stands in the middle of the village. Indeed, you won't find a bigger wooden fountain anywhere else in Europe. Saturday, 9 a.m.: Oh, how exciting!
The Beverin Nature Park is home to around 350 ibex, ibex goats and ibex fawns - known as Capricorns in Romansh. The Capricorns exhibition in the Hotel Restaurant Capricorns in Wergenstein provides interesting facts about the king of the Alps and heraldic animal of the canton. An interactive relief provides an informative overview of the entire Beverin Nature Park.

Saturday, 10 a.m.: On the trail of ibexes

Saturday, 5 p.m.: Spend the night on the alp
Take the Alpin bus up to the Tguma parking lot. From here it is a thirty-minute walk on a flat path to the destination, Alp Nurdagn. The alp offers simple, delicious food and you sleep in a cozy and bright dormitory. Alp Nurdagn also welcomes day guests for refreshments.

Sunday, 10.00 am: Explore the alp
Above the Nurdagn Alp, on the Anarosa Alp, you come across an idyllic moorland landscape. A place that is home to many different animals. The children's book "A Summer with Ana & Rosa" is set up here and is about Ana the mother cow, who spends the summer on the alp with her calf Rosa. It's an exciting story that takes place during the hike. You also have to follow small research assignments.
