For safe mountain sports in winter, Viamala Tourism recommends training (ski touring and avalanche courses) under expert guidance or guided tours by trained mountain guides.
Risk licensing without difficulty limitation
The respective mountain guides must have a valid license.
Risk licensing up to WS/WT3
Ski tours: No glacier crossings. Apart from snow sports equipment, skins and crampons, no other technical aids such as ice axes, crampons or ropes may be used to ensure safety. The respective snow sports instructors must have a valid license.
Snowshoe tours: No glacier crossings. Apart from snowshoes, no technical aids such as ice axes, crampons or ropes may be used to ensure safety. The respective snow sports instructors must have a valid license.
Hiking guides
