Thusner chocolate cake

Recipe from the Viamala Fokus issue 2 / 2020.
Andri has many childhood memories of Thusner Schoggikuchen. The mother of a school friend used to bake it. He would like to share the recipe for this delicious cake with you all. May it taste as good to everyone as it did to him as a child and still does today.
Recipe to follow
6 | Egg yolk |
125 g | Butter |
250 g | Sugar |
125 g | Almonds |
1 bag | Vanilla sugar |
250 g | Dark chocolate |
6 | Protein |
Preparation
First melt the butter and mix with the egg yolk. Then mix the sugar, almonds, breadcrumbs and vanilla sugar into the egg and butter mixture. Melt the dark chocolate and add to the mixture. Then beat the egg whites until stiff and mix in.
Fill the mixture and bake at approx. 170° for 45 minutes. Leave to cool.

PS: By the way, the cake is even tastier a day or two after baking, as it is nice and moist!
