Naturpark Beverin

Ibex in the Beverin Nature Park
The area surrounding Piz Beverin is the Beverin Nature Park, known for its deep gorges, intact villages, churches that characterise the landscape, crystal-clear mountain lakes and majestic ibexes.

The kings of the Alps live proudly in the rocky cliffs surrounding Piz Beverin (2,998 m above sea level) and watch over the wild, unique landscape of the 413-square-kilometer nature park. The foundation of the Beverin Nature Park is formed by the approximately 3,000 inhabitants of the eleven municipalities.

Together with the park communities and the local population, the nature park is working on the future of the region. Innovative, creative solutions should enable the region to develop sustainably.

The Viamala and Roffla Gorges , the alpine mountain landscape around Piz Beverin, the peace and seclusion of the Safien Valley, the crystal-clear mountain lakes and the species-rich dry meadows are among the impressive natural values in the park area.
