The Hotel Bodenhaus is located in the heart of the village of Splügen at an elevation of 1,457 meters above sea level and is one of the oldest and most historic hotels in Graubünden. In addition to its rich history and its historic guestbook featuring entries from prominent figures, the hotel delights guests with regional specialties, homemade Graubünden classics, and creative, seasonal cuisine.

Local and regional specialties are very popular at the Hotel Bodenhaus. Grisons meat, salsiz, Grisons raw ham from regional suppliers and mountain cheese from the Splügen dairy are served on the Bodenhaus platter. The Grisons specialties "Capuns" and "Bündner Nusstorte" are still made here in the hotel kitchen according to traditional recipes. À propos recipes: it is not without good reason that they say in Graubünden: There are as many different Capuns recipes as there are households. In the past, the ingredients were based on what was in stock. Incidentally, the homemade Bündner nut cake is rated "the best" by regular guests.
