Lake Canova

Lake Canova is located in the Graubünden municipality of Domleschg between the two villages of Almens and Paspels. The natural bathing area has a large sunbathing lawn, a kiosk, two barbecue areas, changing rooms and toilets.

In the Domleschg castle and fruit country lies the bathing lake, romantic and warm, with temperatures well over 20 degrees in summer. A visit can be perfectly combined with a walk to Almens, which promises a unique view of the Heinzenberg.

The swimming season starts at the beginning of May. The kiosk serves ice cream and drinks, hot dogs and various sweets. There is also a barbecue area where you can grill sausages you have brought with you.

The bathing lake lies at an altitude of 777 meters above sea level and is almost 200 meters long and 100 meters wide. Both the inflow and outflow of the lake are underground.

On the way from the village street up to the lovely pond, marvel at the larger-than-life and much-photographed sculpture in front of the studio of the well-known artist Robert Indermaur.
