and don’t meet again until twenty years later. Nino runs a restaurant; Yasmina is a consultant at an international consulting firm. It’s love at second sight for both of them—yet their visions of life and a future together could hardly be more different. Their personal experiences, as well as the country’s political turmoil, have left their mark. Director and screenwriter Cyril Aris crafts a gripping love story that unfolds over three decades and across several generations, reflecting Lebanon’s recent past.

The 36th Thusis World Film Festival will take place from October 27 to November 1 at the Raetia Cinema. All further information about this year’s program can be found on the website. Advance ticket sales begin online on October 12.
