Nina's Songs

After successfully touring Switzerland with “Rotschild’s Violin,” they have now created a new piece. The libretto was written by the Graubünden-based author Gianna Olinda Cadonau. Laura Zangger has rearranged some Romansh songs. The story sensitively explores the friendship between Simon, a violin maker, and Nina, a dog owner. What stories need to be told for two people to trust each other? What can remain unsaid? Accompanied by Nina’s songs, thetwo embark onan extraordinary adventure.

Laura Zangger’s music is inspired by the old Engadine folk songs she grew up with. These melodies live on in her new compositions. They draw parallels with the folk music of other countries while also incorporating elements of Baroque music. This music blends beautifully with Gianna Olinda Cadonau’s poetic writing style.
