Alperschälli wildlife observation points

Alperschälli wildlife observation point
Two observation points have been installed in the Alperschälli area, high above Wergenstein and the Safiental.

In addition to binoculars and telescopes, the stations are equipped with information on ibex, ptarmigan and marmots. Important tips on how to observe wild animals without disturbing them can be found in the "Wildlife observation" brochure.

By raising awareness of the needs of wild animals and alpine natural areas, nature-friendly behavior is strengthened and wild animals are protected from disturbance.

The observation points were built by hand at over 2500 m above sea level. During the dry stone wall construction week in July 2019, the seven participants learned the craft of dry stone wall construction by building them. The wildlife observation points project was implemented by the Beverin Nature Park with the support of the Office for Hunting and Fishing (AJF) and the Office for Nature and the Environment (ANU) of the Canton of Graubünden as well as the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
