The first boulderers (rock climbers) discovered the "Magic Wood" area in the municipality of Ferrera back in 1996. In 2004, this trend was taken up by the municipality and the "Magic Wood" area was rezoned as a bouldering zone.
Magic Wood
The climbing area is located in the middle of the "Paré da Miezgi" area on the "Ragn da Ferrera", completely in the forest. The bouldering area is approx. 250 m wide and 500 m long. The municipality of Ferrera has now opened up access to the "Magic Wood" with a bridge.
