Opening of the Alois Crottogini Art Exhibition
Free of charge
Some may still recognize the name Alois Crottogini (1920–2013) as the author of letters to the editor and articles for the "Pöschtli" and the "Südostschweiz." Alois was also deeply committed to promoting Andeer as a tourist destination. He was the initiator and promoter of the Andeer spa and also the first president of the corporation that made its construction possible nearly 50 years ago. It is less well known that he was also a painter. Village scenes of Andeer and landscape paintings from near and far were created between 1946 and 2009. These paintings are now to be displayed to the public and offered for sale. The exhibition is being held at the Weisses Kreuz inn in Andeer, which, fortunately, was purchased by local idealists. However, since a significant amount of money is still needed for the renovation, the proceeds from the sale will be entirely allocated to this purpose. Buyers may determine the price of the paintings themselves.
