The Viamala is a fascinating natural monument as well as a witness to 2000 years of transit history. The Romans were already on the move here, later the muleteers for centuries and today the hikers as well as the 40-ton trucks on the opposite side of the gorge.
Route: Thusis - Hohenrätien - Viamala - Traversinasteg - Zillis
Food: Meals from the rucksack
Equipment: mountain hiking equipment, poles strongly recommended
End of the hike: 16.30 Zillis-Dorf
