Brass Premiere

On Saturday, November 22, two brass bands from Graubünden and two from Eastern Switzerland will meet for a preparatory concert at the traditional "Brass Premiere" in the Bündner Arena in Cazis. The Brass Band Cazis (Elite), Graubünden Brass (Elite), the Universal Brass Band from Wil (1st class) and the Liberty Brass Band (highest class) will present their test pieces for the Swiss Brass Band Competition, which will be held on the weekend of 29 and 30 November at the KKL Culture and Congress Center in Lucerne.
As the competition is being held for the 50th time this year, all of the test pieces have been commissioned from renowned European composers. The Brass Premiere will feature works by Bert Appermont, Thomas Doss, Philip Wilby and Philip Harper. Further pieces by announcement round off the concert program.

The Brass Premiere is an important performance for the participating bands in the final spurt of the competition preparations and at the same time offers the audience an exciting and varied concert evening with many musical highlights.
