"Book start" for young library visitors

An event for the youngest library visitors and their accompanying adults. Familiar and new verses, rhymes and songs are experienced together, accompanied by a story by Eulalia. A mini-book with the rhymes learned should not be missing, then the verses and songs can be continued at home and language practiced. Buchstart is a nationwide project for early language education. Buchstart promotes children's first encounters with books. The target group of Buchstart are children aged 0-3 years and their parents and adult caregivers. Children who grow up with books from an early age have an advantage. They learn early on how much fun there is in pictures and books and take the joy of reading and learning with them for life. With the book gift, Buchstart encourages parents to actively communicate with their child from the very first moment and to familiarize them with picture books from around six months. Picture books are not only a great help in language acquisition, they also promote a culture of conversation within the family and offer comfort and security. The aim of Buchstart is to give all children the opportunity to grow with books from the very beginning. No registration required.
